The family bought the truck in 1936 and it’s been in her family ever since.

Casagrande says the 82-year-old truck is rare and historic. She’s filed a report with Bakersfield Police.

Patrick McKay is an Irish immigrant who realized the American dream during the 1950s.

He was a full-time bus driver, business owner and adventurer. When he wasn’t driving buses, McKay wanted to ride in style. This led him to purchase an ultra-stylish 1956 Nash Ambassador.

A great grandfather’s cellar was getting cleaned out, but none of the family wanted this tool chest. So they put it out in a yard sale. $70.

Apparently his great grandfather worked for a Peerless auto dealership in Kansas City,

A 10-year-old girl got to fly a plane for the first time last week, thanks to UPS’s Wishes Delivered campaign, https://wishesdelivered.ups.com/

Taylor is going to be a UPS pilot: She knows this, and you should, too.

“When she was about 5, we took her to the Mall of America, and she got to fly in a plane, and she just knew that’s what she wanted to do with her life,” her mem said. “She was just amazed by it.”

She had taken Taylor to a Girls in Aviation day at Bowman Field, and the UPS Wishes Delivered crew was there, filming and scouting for a candidate, and they chose Taylor.

Wishes Delivered fulfills the dreams of children in various ways. In the past, a young boy who had a special relationship with a driver, was given a custom-made UPS package truck to drive around his neighborhood. The team once delivered snow to children in Texas who had never experienced snow before.

French illustrator Christian Lacroix better known as Christian Lax

October 25th, 2017 by admin

His father encouraged him from early childhood to copy the images of Tintin and got him his first little illustrating jobs: he had always dreamed of a successful career in comic strips for his son.

He made his comics debut in the magazine l’Automobile in 1975. His first album, ‘Ennui Mortel’, was published in 1982.

In 2005 Christian published under his artist name LAX ‘L’Aigle Sans Orteils’. A wonderful historical story in which he combines his love for the French countryside, its people and his personal passion for cycling and in particular the Tour of France. In 2009 he published the sequel, named ‘Pain d’alouette-Premier époque’.

He teaches comic strips at the École d’Art Graphique Emile-Cohl in Lyon and lives in the country with his family, in an old farmhouse he has done up and which serves as a base camp when he goes cycling.

Their dad died and left this numbers-matching 1970 Road Runner convertible with a 440 Six-Barrel, four-speed, with a build sheet and 82,000 miles to his kids, who didn’t want it, so they sold it to a repair and restoration shop

Plymouth made only 658 convertible Road Runners in 1970. Just 34 had the 440-6BBL engine, 14 with automatic transmissions, 20 with four-speeds.

This car’s history has been lost to time. The car was bought in New Jersey in 1973 and not long after moved to Chino in Southern California.

The last year it was registered was 1985. It sat outside for decades before going into a garage when the family moved to a newer home.

Unicorns DO exist. I found one. A beautiful young woman who went out and bought a cool old car for no other reason than she loves old cars. Meet Chris, and her ‘72 Maverick, Holly

August 22nd, 2017 by admin

If Holly wasn’t your first choice, what was and why?

My first choice was not a Maverick, I had no idea this car actually existed. But I’ll get into that later. My dream car was a Chevy Nova. I was a freshman in high school and one day I was getting on the bus after school and when I looked out the window there it was. A shiny chrome silver. 5 star rims and two black stripes down the back. I was completely in love and I searched it quick before the bus took off for its name/model anything that could tell me what I had just fallen in love with. On the grill I saw the letters SS and on the side in the nicest font I’d ever seen on a car was the word Nova. I googled it as soon as I got home and from that day on I would tell everyone I was going to buy a Nova.

How did that hunt for that car go, and will you try for that car again someday?

Possibly the only person to park his truck on top of a car, in traffic, and get the other guy arrested. Don’t try this at home folks.

According to an arrest affidavit, Adalberto Aponte, 53, said he got into a verbal disturbance that ended when Zach Waring placed his pickup truck into reverse and backed up onto Aponte’s Camry.

Waring told police that Aponte had been driving recklessly since he appeared behind Waring’s truck. Waring said Aponte almost caused multiple crashes, and when he reached a red light at the intersection of Southwest 42nd Street and Southwest 27th Avenue, Aponte got out of his Camry, walked directly to Waring’s open driver’s window and “began to strike him in the face through the window multiple times,” police said.

The victim’s girlfriend yelled that there was a gun in the truck when Waring was unable to stop Aponte from punching him, a report states. There wasn’t a gun in the pickup truck, police said.

According to the report, Aponte said, “I’ll show you a real gun.”

Waring told police that he feared for his life and his family and “had no other option but to place his vehicle in reverse and hit Aponte’s vehicle in an attempt to prevent him from obtaining a firearm and causing further harm to him or his family,” a report states.

Police said the red light prevented Waring from driving forward through the intersection in an attempt to leave the argument.

Witnesses to the road rage incident were able to confirm Waring’s statements, police said.

Aponte was arrested at the scene and charged with burglary, battery, criminal mischief and driving with suspended license for failing to pay child support in September 2016.
